Good Morning and welcome back to the blog today sharing a small mixed media project for Dusty Attic. This is designed on the heart from the Unlock My Heart Set.

I began by setting pieces on the heart trying to determine which ones I would like and would look great. Once I set them up, I begin painting them all with Buff Acrylic paint. Then I added rust Patina from Stamperia and Oxide Sprays

I heat set in between layers of colour

The rust patina from Stamperia, although does not have texture to it like the Rust paste from Prima, I still love the effect I achieved.

Here is my finished piece, I hope you enjoyed by project this week.

I have been scrapping for about 18/19 years. My go-to is flowers (and more flowers), and chipboard. I also love fussy cutting (I always laugh at the patience I have to cut out the most intricate detail, but I have no patience in queues!). I love adding texture to my layouts with texture pastes and stencils, as well as layering papers and elements. I will also dabble a little in some inks and paints on my layouts.

Scrapbooking is a way to combine two of my hobbies, a way to express my creativity and to showcase my photos. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition.
