Hello my dears!It’s Saturday afternoon and it’s been raining all over England since early morning. Such weather seriously deprives me of my will to live. It should be banned because of its side effects on the human psyche. Although… At least the plants will revive a bit… Meanwhile, today I will describe the process of creating a layout made to order. A wonderful wife, after 23 years of marriage, loving her husband with a mature love, full of empathy and tenderness – wanted to give him such a gift. The expectations were few but they decided about the style and colors. Well, in the central workplace there was to be a photo of them from the wedding and a Mercedes truck theme in a shade of red, and the whole work was to be kept as a male one.
I chose the paper from the Margaret Paper Design collection, glued it with a brown frame and sewn it three times on the machine. I had consider skipping this step, but simply couldn’t, as I like sewn paper a lot. I put 7 eyelets at the top and bottom in a straight lines. Using Marrakesh mask and Finnabair structural paste, I made a great Moroccan pattern, which I emphasized with mini pebbles and mists from Ranger in the shades of cranberry and espresso. The effect exceeded my expectations and unfortunately the photos do not reflect the actual condition.
The idea was to build the composition on many layers of scraps, I used three different colors of paper, each of them I sewed on the machine, some I glued with lace and some with torn and colored gauze. I applied the pattern with the Creative Script mask, post-stamped and finally covered the edges with the Distress Vintage Photo shade.
And now my favorite stage of work, which is the preparation of chipboards. I painted them all, except the industrial swirls – white gesso. I painted the quote and the inscription unconditional love with antique white acrylic paint. I darkened the clock with vintage photo ink. The hinges decorated with gears were first treated with a black gesso, then here and there I splashed them with cranberry mist. I added dimension to selected elements using my new purchase – a rose gold wax from Finnabair. At the end I sprinkled the entire work with mini pebbles quite heavily.
The wedding photo of the couple is placed in the central work area on a simulated truck, which is a piece of brown paper sticking out above the photo. It was with great joy that I created this work, I’m happy to be able to embellish important moments in the lives of other people in this way. LO is already in the hands of a happy husband. Thank you!
