Hello creatives! I hope you are well and happy.
I’m sharing with you today a layout showcasing a photo of my dear mum and my sometimes dear daughter celebrating her 18th birthday!

I started my layout by making a focal embellishment for the left hand side of my page. This was just my starting point.

I wanted something to run down the side of my photo. I cover the chipboard pieces in pigment inks clear embossing powder and then added some gold wax to the little frame. I also changed the flower as I wanted to add a whole heap of them.
From this I then added the cog border strip underneath he whole embellishment. I then decided to add more cogs to create a bit of a sweeping effect across my page.
I used Nuneka’s beautiful cogs for this and I covered them with Prima Old Walls rust effects. To be totally honest I don’t really even know if this effect is how it is supposed to turn out as its been sitting in my cupboard for years and looked a little dry, but I got it to work and I like the effect so I guess thats all that matters right???
I will leave you with a few close ups.
