Mood Board Inspiration

Today’s Favourite – Rikki G

Good morning how are you? Its starting to get to the hectic part of the year which means less and less time in the studio which I don’t mind, I just got to make it count when I get in there right?
This months Dusty Attic Mood board is all you need to call you into your scrappy space, what’s not to love about the soft, earthy tones and the possibilities are endless….
Don’t you think?

This time I am going steam punk inspired picking up the tones of green and cream…. and really playing off the shapes, textures and layers.
When I do this style of layout I like to keep my chipboard a neutral tone and this allows you to see the details of it even though its white.

Make your own title with your alphas and a word…. nothing like mixing it up !!!

Layering your chipboard with your fussy cutting is a great way to use up left over bits and pieces, I have bags of butterflies, steam punk elements from years of scrapping all ready to go and be used so that is what I did, set yourself a challenge and use elements rather that whole sheets of paper.

When spraying your chipboard dont go hard, lightly dusting it will give you a more shabby look and then varying shades….

So why dont you give the mood board a go?
