My Absolute Favourtie – Farrel Tailor – Mood Board Inspiration

Hey Everyone!! Farrel here today and I am sharing my take on the Dusty Attic April Mood Board. I have to admit I haven’t used these tones of blue and yellow in a while so I decided to step out of my comfort zone a little and use the colours for my inspiration.

The papers I used are by 7 Dots Studio – Dreamscapes and for my background I added some stamping, stenciling (The Crafter’s Workshop stencils) and I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Shaker – Afternoon Delight Denim.

I covered all my Dusty Attic Chipboard with white gesso and then used my Prima Watercolor Confections – Tropicals to add colour to my title, the foliage and the flower stamens.

I also splattered the background with the left over watercolor paint and LSG magical shaker.

I have been scrapping for about 18/19 years. My go-to is flowers (and more flowers), and chipboard. I also love fussy cutting (I always laugh at the patience I have to cut out the most intricate detail, but I have no patience in queues!). I love adding texture to my layouts with texture pastes and stencils, as well as layering papers and elements. I will also dabble a little in some inks and paints on my layouts.

Scrapbooking is a way to combine two of my hobbies, a way to express my creativity and to showcase my photos. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition.
