Mood Board Inspirations – Heather McMahon and Tina Ollett
HEATHER McMAHON
I’m excited! The Dusty Attic have brand new products out and brand new mood boards for the challenges this year! They’re all so scrummy!
I hope you can join in with us this month and create a little something using inspiration from this month’s board. There is a $100 Dusty Attic voucher to win!
My moodboard inspired layout titled
“Best Friends”
I have left this layout quite simple as the background page had such magnificent detail. I didn’t want to distract from that. I only added a little extra Texture with Dusty Attic’s Script Stencil and Texture Paste. The first of my Dusty Attic pieces was a newbie called “Swirly Frame” (DA1468). This piece was crackled and then randomly inked over the dried raised sections.
Foliage #2 was my next point of call. This was inked and then covered with Dusty Attic Clear Crackle Varnish. I always give them a very generous coating and leave to dry sometimes overnight. When dry, I wipe a little gesso over the cracks made and wipe off any excess. You can see the results of the crackle below.
A couple of close-ups for you to view. The Dusty Attic chippie “Best Friends” seen below was simply inked and then dry brush with a little gesso .
And another..
You can see the beautiful texture here from the new release Script Stencil…..it is soooooo gorgeous!!
Well that is all from me today. I hope I have inspired you in some way to give this month’s moodboard a go!
