Lynette here, welcome to the blog today. I have the pleasure of sharing some inspiration for April. This magical photo was taken while we were camping this last summer. This story just needed to be told with a large photo.

Wordpl@y #11 Some close up details of my process: I knew I wanted to use a very large photo and ended up printing it at 10,5 inches high and 6,5 inches wide. I heat embossed the Title in gold and the lanterns in white embossing powder. I painted the tree, the gnomes and the fire with acrylic paint and when it was done I found that it was just too bright. I then watered down white acrylic paint and gave everything a wash. The tree was first added to the page and then the excess was cut off. We were camping next to the river with large trees and that inspired bringing the tree and the lanterns onto the little scene. We always have a fire going when we camp. The photo is just so magical that I thought the gnomes would be a perfect addition. I completed the page by adding the Wordpl@y phrases and I heat embossed tiny wood veneer stars with gold embossing powder. |
I love it when another memory is documented.
