Hello all my friends….Hope to find you all well and Happily Scrapping away. Today is a real winters day here in South Africa. Cold and grey. But I am loving this weather…just something so cosy about it!
These beautiful eyes belong to Sakari, my youngest daughter’s cat…which kind of has become my cat! Using 7 Dots Studio paper and ever popular Dusty Attic Chipboard I created this page for her.
I primed the paper with clear Gesso and using the Flower Burst stencil I applied crackle paste to the background. I used Lindy’s Stampgang Flat Fabio Sprays C’estle vie Cerise and Merci Beaucoup Mint. I also used the Love Circle Stencil with Texture Paste on top. To colour the texture paste, I simply inked the stencil with Mustard Seed Distress Ink and swiped the paste over the inked stencil…that way one gets a lovely coloured paste…
The Ornate Pendants #3 were Gesso’d and painted with Mustard Seed Distress Ink and Lindy’s Magicals Merry-Go-Round Green and Sassy Sapphire. I also added a touch of Finnabair’s Rust Pasts to them.
The Swirly Vine #3 was embossed using Lindy’s Desert Moon Turquoise Embossing Powders….
And for me the Piece-de Resistance must be the distressed Name Plate…Simply soak the chipboard piece in some warm water for about a minute. The layers will easily separate. I cut a little slit in the top two layers and curled the ends over. Heating with the Heatgun helped to keep them in that position.
Again I Gesso’d them and coloured with the Lindy’s Magicals and added the Rust Paste…
I hope you have enjoyed this project and will be inspired to alter some Dusty Attic Chippies as well…

I used the following products.
I have felt cats
rubbing their faces against mine
and touching my cheek
with claws carefully sheathed.
to me, are expressions of love.
