Hi there!!I will describe today a card made quite quickly and efficiently – because the expectations received from the customer were very clear and I immediately had a ready idea for their implementation. It is a gift for a lovely couple on the occasion of their 10th wedding anniversary, and because they love dogs and have their beloved, I was ordered to find such animals on the card. I was also asked for an accent in the form of a house and 3D flowers.
I was asked for the card to be colorful, and this perfectly matched the ongoing moodboard challenge on Dusty Attic’s blog. Check out this fantastic moodboard for yourself! Or maybe you too will take up this challenge? All you have to do is add your art work to the comments section of the Dusty FANattics Facebook group for your chance to win one of two amazing prizes of $50 (AUD) on purchases from their store. I can’t wait to see your work on the Dusty FANAttics group.
These beautiful papers that I used for the background are the “Marble” collection by Craft Sensations. The edges are ragged and glued with white paper to achieve white frames, which brightens the design in a subtle way. I applied a pattern from the Bedazzled mask to the background. Smaller pieces of paper are glued on the sides, from the bottom, with decorative light green lace. The pair is placed on a beautiful decorative panel, which I carefully painted white and sprinkled with small white pebbles.
I got these beautiful foamiran flowers in a craft swapping from Magda Tkaczyk – they are made very carefully and you will admit that these delicate, pastel colors are phenomenal – such a great gift. On this occasion, I would like to ask if you take part in such actions? They are often organized in groups devoted to scrapbooking and in my opinion they are a great opportunity to meet new people with a similar passion. I take part, but not very often. Let me know in the comment about your feelings – I’m very curious.
All chipboard shapes in this project are secured with white gesso and then I gave them a shade of pastel green and pink with waxes. Finally, I whitened the edges with white acrylic paint. Among the flowers, you can see two types of leaves from the fantastic set. I also added a few paper ones – and these I received in exchange from Magda from the Handmade by ArtKosi studio. The floral arrangement is complemented by a hint of pink sisal, gauze, white string and a beautiful mint ribbon from Old Fashion Ribbons. I kindly remind you that you can buy these ribbons from me in England – feel free to contact me.
At the bottom I added the words “Love never fails” and the word “Celebrate” from a set that recently appeared in the store, and next to it the number 10 from my favorite set of numbers. Next to the couple with dogs, I placed a house and two hearts. I will tell you in secret that inside of the card there are another 8 more little dogs that are painstakingly cut with scissors – I am quite happy with myself. 😉
