Hi Everyone, I’m back today to share with you my interpretation of the Dusty Attic December Mood Board. These colours are just amazing and I decided to use these colours as the base of my layout.
And this is what I came up with…
I started by using 7 Dots Studio Cotton Candy pp – Cloud Watching and white Cardstock as my base. Then mixed some white gesso with Distress Stain Peacock Feathers to create a light blue paint.
Using my fingers I applied the paint onto my paper and used a heat tool to dry. I then applied Nuvo Embellishment Mouse – Pacific Teal using a baby wipe in a swiping motion. I then put a small amount of white gesso onto the baby wipe to help blend the mouse.
I also used the same mousse around the edges of the my photo mount before adhering my photo.
Next I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst Spray – Shabby Turbine Teal to create depth around the torn edges of my paper using a paint brush and some water.
I then added some texture by using TCW Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste and Mini Tile Mania stencil.
Now for the chippy!!! I used Dusty Attic Geometric Border, Geometric Corners and cut them into smaller pieces so I could build a layer with them. I then painted them and the String Frames Small with Prima Acrylic Paint Sparks – Raven Black. Once dry I then adhered them onto my layout.
I then used my finger to apply a small amount of Prima Acrylic Sparks Paint – Mermaid Sparkle and Nuvo Embellishment Mousse – Pacific Teal to the geometric pieces.
I also added some stamping using Stampers Anonymous stamps – Ultimate Grunge and Slight Alterations with Ranger Archival Ink – Watering Can.
Then to finish it off I used These Are Treasured Moments chipboard and lightly covered with white gesso using a make up sponge and then blended Nuvo Embellishment Mousse – Pacific Teal around the edges. And adhered a tab from Mini Tabs #7 Black.
Here are the amazing products I used from Dusty Attic
