Kerstin here, to share a new inspiration layout in mixed media style with some beautiful Dusty Attic chipboards.

There’s always a lot to see and experience on a visit to Zoo. Our favourites are always the funny little meerkats.

I used a tropical black and white background paper, tropical leaves chipboards were perfectly for me.

They look very natural, I painted them with olive green, black acrylic paint and a little texture paste. After drying they were highlighted with green golden wax cream.

I have been scrapping for about 18/19 years. My go-to is flowers (and more flowers), and chipboard. I also love fussy cutting (I always laugh at the patience I have to cut out the most intricate detail, but I have no patience in queues!). I love adding texture to my layouts with texture pastes and stencils, as well as layering papers and elements. I will also dabble a little in some inks and paints on my layouts.

Scrapbooking is a way to combine two of my hobbies, a way to express my creativity and to showcase my photos. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition.
