Some kind of Wonderful – Michelle Van Oudshoorn – Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Dusty Attic fans
Its my turn to showcase a layout using the Dusty Attic mood board for March. I just love these beautiful, rich colours that grace the mood board for this month! Aren’t these colours gorgeous?

And here is my take on the mood board  – and again my beautiful daughter. How is it these kids get these selfies looking so great, I just cannot master the art of selfies!

I started with 49 and Market paper from the Winter’s Edge collection, and altered it by first applying a texture to the background with a flower stencil and clear 3D gloss gel. Once this was dry I dabbed on Dusty Attic sunburnt orange and cranberry paint to bring out the design, and then stamped over this with a script stamp using a dark green archival ink.
The chipboard pieces have been covered in a variety of different mediums – using dusty attic paints as well as a Creative Expressions gilding polish. I have mounted the photo with foam tape to give it height in line with the flower cluster. And finished off using some netting to break the colour of the flower cluster.
The green flourish is actually a heart shaped chipboard, which I have cut in half and switched around to create the leaves. I have sanded down the edges of the photo, and used some old Bo Bunny scrap paper to mat the photo, which I have punched the edges.

I have finished off the page by mixing the dark denim and forest green dusty attic paints and dabbing this around the edge of the page.

These are the Dusty Attic products I have used:
