My dad passed away 1 1/2 years ago and I miss him endlessly. He loved to sail and when I was going through some of his personal belongings the other day, I found this photo of him. I think it was taken sometimes in the 90’s, but I’m not sure. I don’t know who took this photo, but it is so “dad”. This is how I imagine him now, sailing and not in pain anymore.
I have used several Dusty Attic chippies for this layout. Underneath the large flowercluster I have a Leafy Scroll (DA0764) and I have also used the smaller of the Sweet Pea Frames and corners (DA0573. I painted all the chippies with Dusty in Color, Alabaster (DA0902), Capri (DA0915) and Oceania (DA0912). I used the same colors of paint on my background paper too, to let the chippies and papers melt together.
Finally I painted two mini Birds #3 (DA0727) with white enamel accents.
Here are some close-ups for you!
Lots of layers and dimension:
I have used a sponge to add texture paste on the background paper, both before and after I painted with the Dusty in Colors.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Love, Helena
Such a gorgeous layout!! Love the colours you used, and a super picture from your father. He must have been way to young when he died.
