Hello Dusty FANattics!
Adri here with you and I am very excited to share with you my monthly project using some of Dusty Attic’s beautiful chipboard pieces.
This is a photo of my granddaughter I took of her on her 2nd birthday. The birthday message I wrote her is on the back of my layout reads:
It is time to celebrate the birthday of the most beautiful little princess who is celebrating her 2nd birthday. Welcome to the world of terrific twos! It will be filled with rainbows, unicorns, and princesses. May you grow up to be all kinds of good, beautiful and wonderful. You give us so much happiness every day and, we all love you to pieces. We wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, and blessings. Happy 2nd birthday!

This is how I dressed the chipboard pieces. All the wordplay chipboard pieces, as well as the page pebble, were lightly dry brushed with white gesso. Once dry I did the same with pink, yellow and turquoise acrylic paint. I also inked the edges with brown ink. My flowers are also dry brushed with these colours.
I painted the title with turquoise acrylic paint and then lightly dabbed yellow, pink and gold acrylic paint with a dry round sponge brush. The stem and leaves of the tiny wildflower were painted yellow and the berries pink. Once dry, I covered the berries with glossy accents and sprinkled with fine stardust glitter on top.
This is what the round sponge brush looks like. My all-time favourite.
When everything was glued down I added some gold microbeads and made splatters with white gesso and black ink.
Here are some more close-ups.
