To create my layout I used this month’s sketch and started by tearing a strip of the pretty Maja Designs floral paper to add to the left side of my weatherboard background paper and added sections of diecut lace paper to peak out from underneath. I also added a small torn section to the top right.
To mask my background I used Dusty Attic Texture Paste and the gorgeous new Rose Stencil. Once dry, I outlined the roses with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Marker, then randomly stamped over the masked area with Kaisercraft tiny dot texture stamp using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in worn lipstick.
All chipboard designs are new releases and were altered with embossing powders in glossy pearl, matte pearl and and Nuvo witch gives a textured look. I applied them to the chipboard pieces by priming first with gesso, and whilst wet, sprinkling with embossing powder and heat setting.
