Nicole Doiron – Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Dusty FANattics!

I am absolutely thrilled to be back with you today on The Dusty Attic blog
to share my project inspired by the stunning July mood board!

I chose to create this canvas card for my cousin who is getting married this month.

Here is one more look at the July mood board challenge:

How can one not be inspired by the gorgeous colours and texture in this image?!
I went looking in my stash to find some elements to showcase this palette
and some wedding theme elements that I knew my cousin would love.

A large Boho Feather serves as one of my focal points. I painted it with white acrylic paint and then added some Distress Oxide Spray.  I love the diluted pasty effect it created.
On the French Word Play quote, I used embossing powder and dabbed on some white paint.

I used the same beautiful teal shade of embossing powder on the piece from the Window & Shutters #3 set. Mixed with white paint, I love how it almost turned out denim blue as that is one of my cousin’s wedding colours. Behind it, you can see a pretty Doily #2.

I decorated my card with pieces of pearl flourish and pearls, also from The Dusty Attic.

I also used Dusty in Bloom flowers in the very fitting Bridal Veil colour.

Here are all the Dusty Attic products that I used:

Boho Feathers – DA1732
Doily #2 – DA0480
