Mood Board Inspiration

Never stop Exploring – Lynette Jacobs

Lynette here, welcome to the blog today.   Today I am sharing my take on the February 2021 moodboard.  It reminds me of my favourite place…the ocean.

Here is the page that was inspired by the moodboard.

I wanted this page to have a mixed media background that mimics splashes and I achieved that using light moulding paste coloured with Distress Oxide ink in Broken China and Dusty Concord.  I also used a lot of paper layers and fussy cut elements.
Here is the moodboard:

Some close up images:

I prepped the chipboard pieces with gesso and then dressed it in different ways.  The little starfish, mini shells and ships wheel was coated with metallic waxes in Bronze Age, Rich Copper and Emerald.

The skeleton fish  and the foliage was painted with acrylic paints.

I decided to add additional texture to the three clusters by adding art stones and mini art stones with matt gel.

I finally painted the title with blue acrylic paint.
