Mood Board Inspiration – Rosalie Duke-Stanley

I have gone totally grungy with this colour theme of the June mood board. I am currently being inspired by the recent holiday pictures that I took overseas of the ancient and historical sights. For this layout I started with a dark patterned paper and stencilled a grungy pattern with Finnabair Graphite texture. To add more colour, I sprayed Lindy Stamp Gang Silver range (including ones that had a brown tinge). I laid a gesso painted net on the patterned paper as a base. Tip: the netting was a dark green colour so I spread heavy white gesso on the work top and wearing a set of gloves rolled the net through it to get an even cover.
Layering a range of Dusty Attic chipboard which have been painted with golds (with a pink tinge), browns, blacks and coppers and beige’s. I added different metallics in the paints so that they weren’t flat but had depth to the colours. I chose colours that had a general colour theme reflective of the mood board but added a slight pink overtone to some of the pieces. Tip: when gluing down the chipboard, use small pieces of chip board off cuts to build up the pieces so that they sit evenly across the different levels.

To add depth to the page, I used Lindy Stamp Gang Magicals (Bodalicious Blush) and painted the wings. Finally I used a variety of paints and flicked over the page ending with micro art stones to added texture.

I hope you enjoy.
