Beginning of the Month News

March 2021

Hello Dusty FANattics Can you believe it is March already?

Here at Dusty HQ it means lots of work cutting and kitting getting ready for our Muresk retreat that was postponed from last year. We are so very lucky to be having it this year (with Covid restrictions of course).

Stay tuned for any kits that may be left over that we load to the Dusty Attic Website.

In the meantime you can enter the March Mood Board Challenge to win one of two $50 credits to the website so you can choose any designs that you wish to create with.

Our Inspiration reveal is from the gorgeous

LYNETTE JACOBS

Lynette here, welcome to the blog today.   Today I am sharing my take on the March 2021 moodboard.  I am forever chasing sunsets and the photo that I used was taken in Plettenberg Bay two years ago.   Here is the page that was inspired by the moodboard.

When I saw the moodboard it reminded me of this Pinkfresh Studio Just a Little Lovely patterned paper.

I started my page by applying a galaxy of stars to the background using light opaque paste.  I then stitching a border around my page.

I used the large Cosmic Swirl.  I first heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  When it cooled down I lightly sprinkled Tinby’s silver Metallic Melts and heat set it.

I wanted the photo to really pop on the page and printed it in an A5 size with a white border. I matted the photo with a reddish brown cardstock.

The “Perfect Sunset” title was heat embossed in red and copper.

The final touches where white Nuvo Crystal Drops.

This cosmic swirl is the perfect frame for this beautiful photo.
