Good Morning Everyone
Welcome to the second half of the year, before you know it the Christmas season will be upon us again. Its the school holidays here in wintery Perth, time to stay indoors and create in the warm, mind you it has only just started to look like winter in the last two weeks.
 Its also our RETREAT MONTH… “the Boss” and everyone at HQ are busy busy busy packing kits designed by our amazing team. I hope you get all of our blog posts through the email delivery, its so easy, just add your email address at the side and instead of coming to the blog to check in we will send the updated post straight to you.

Well without a further ado I would like to share the July Challenge with you, The Nifty Pixel has done yet again an ever so amazing sketch, which is teamed up with a rich, stunning mood board.

JULY CHALLENGE 

Hello, today I am here to share with you a LO I did, using Dusty Attics Beautiful Sketch/Mood Board Challenge for July….




The Challenge has a amazing prize of a $100 Dusty Attic Gift Voucher to the  Dusty Attic Website  for the winner. To enter all you need to do, is use the Mood Board for Inspiration,  you can interpret it anyway you like. The only requirement is that Dusty Attic chipboard is used in your creation. Other elements used: Little Birdie & Petaloo Flowers, Prills, Prima mini Art Stones,Lace, cheesecloth, Black gesso, clear crackle paint, Lumin Art Silk-Jasper Red & Azurite,Lindy’s Gang-Magical-Cowabunga Copper, Tattered Angels-Dragonfly
Here are some close ups….

I primed all of the chipboard with black gesso, then painted the pieces with clear crackle paint. Once the crackle dried, I painted the red-orange pieces with the Jasper Red -Silk, & went over the Jasper Red with the Cowabunga Copper. For the blue-green I used Azurite Silk, let dry then went over the silk, with the Tattered Angels-Dragon Fly
I died the red-orange pieces of lace, & cheesecloth with the cowabunga copper, I also painted the flowers with this. For the blue-green pieces of cheesecloth I used the Dragonfly TA, I also died the mini art stones with the TA…

I primed the DA pearls with the black gesso, then painted them with the jasper red & cowabunga copper.
