Hi there Dusty Attic Fans, Farrel here to share my October Mood Board Challenge project. I loved doing this mood board and I used the colours as my inspiration.

Here is my altered notebook – The notebook I used is from Kmart here in Australia and I primed both the front and back cover with black gesso. I used the Brick Wall Stencil along with some Prima Texture Powder and gesso to create my own texture paste.

I trimmed a piece from Geometric Panel and adhered it to the center of my notebook. I then used an assortment of cogs from Mini Cogs #2, Cogs #1 and Cogs #3. For the corners I used the bolts from Nuts and Bolts set.

I then adhered the Prima Melange Pebbles to the journal and painted everything in black gesso. Once it was all dry, I then used Finnabair’s Metal Effect Texture Paste to build up my colour and texture. Then to finish it off I used Dare To Dream stamp set by Finnabair for my dragonfly and the word “journal”. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Archival Ink.
