Hello, today I would like to share with yo a LO I did using some of Dusty Attic’s industrial pieces……

Other Elements used:49 and Market: Tattered Garden, Cottage Life, Blossom Blends,Garden Seeds,Cottage Blooms, Floral Mixology….Black Gesso, Clear Gesso, Clear Crackle, Shimmerz Inklings-Chocholate & Diamonds, LuminArt Silk Iridescent- Gold, Prima Metal, Prills-Heart of Gold, Express yourself , black ink pad

Here are some close ups…..

I primed the chipboard pieces with either clear or black gesso, then applied clear crackle paint onto some of the pieces….Once the crackle dried I painted the pieces with the chocolate & diamonds & iridescent gold….

I primed the paper from the cottage life collection then applied clear crackle onto the paper & placed the chipboard pieces onto the crackled paper, let dry then cut away the excess……

The next step was to add the eyelets, brads & change flower centers….then I built the layers, using the chipboard pieces & flowers….

I altered the retro frame with chains & cogs….

& framed the photo with the distressed film strip, chains & title….Here are a few more close ups…..

I have been scrapping for about 18/19 years. My go-to is flowers (and more flowers), and chipboard. I also love fussy cutting (I always laugh at the patience I have to cut out the most intricate detail, but I have no patience in queues!). I love adding texture to my layouts with texture pastes and stencils, as well as layering papers and elements. I will also dabble a little in some inks and paints on my layouts.

Scrapbooking is a way to combine two of my hobbies, a way to express my creativity and to showcase my photos. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition.
