Hamsa – Anat Weksler

Hello Dusty Friends!
Anat here, with my first project for June – an Altered Hamsa (or Hand of Fatima).

“The hamsa is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa and commonly used in jewlery and wall hangings. Depicting the open right hand,  used as a sign of protection providing defense against the evil eye.”
The gorgeous Baby Pendants inspired me to alter this Hamsa for a Baby room.

In this project I used chipboards, both, for the background – to support the composition, and as my focal point.

I believe you already noticed that I can’t do without one of the beautiful ATC frames it wasn’t different here! I used it in the focal point to highlight  the gorgeous pendant.

Here are a few more pictures of the project:

Thanks for stopping by!
