Green Thumb – Belinda Spencer

 Hello Dusty Attic Fans!

It’s Belinda here today and I have a layout to share today featuring some fabulous gardening inspired chipboard from a recent ‘What’s New Wednesday’.

GREEN THUMB

I started this layout by using the gorgeous Flower Burst Stencil on my background patterned paper with some Jungle Green Dusty In Colour paint. I apply the paint using a latex make-up wedge as this gives a lovely smooth finish. I only apply a tiny amount of paint at a time so as to avoid it bleeding under the stencil. Once dry, I added a torn piece of the corrugated card.

I painted all of the chipboard pieces with three coats of heavy white gesso. Once the gesso was dry, I painted the pots with Gingernut Dusty In Colour and the leaves with Jungle Green. When this paint was totally dry, I used a fine white Posca Pen (acrylic paint pen) to add some detail to the pots. I painted the title with the Jungle Green paint too. It is such a gorgeous colour!

I layered on all of my papers and photo and then added all of my chipboard elements.
