The new June Release from Dusty Attic is totally amazing! I instantly fell in love with the larger Ornate Gate #2 (DA0894) and just had to scrap with it. I have a little tutorial further down on how I painted this beautiful chippie.
I have also used the words Fun Times, just painted them with some white gesso. The Wagon Wheel (DA0697) I painted with white gesso and inked with Distress Ink, color Pumic Stone.
I have used Dusty Mini Roses, White (DA0970) and Eggplant (DA0958), and also some Rose Leaves (DA0962).
Lots of beautiful flowers from Petaloo – Velvet and Lace flowers and Mini Textured blossoms:
The sheer butterflies are also from Petaloo.
And here is how I painted the Ornate Gate. I have used gesso, Dusty in Color Fine Silver, Smooch Spritz Pralines & Cream, Shimmerz Spritz Sea Foam and Distress Ink Vintage Photo.
First, I painted the gate with gesso, using a sponge.
I then painted the gate with Dusty in Color, Fine Silver, also using a sponge.
Then I misted the gate with Shimmerz Spritz, color Sea Foam.
Then I sprayed some Smooch Spritz, color Pralines & Cream, on a few spots of the gate. I let the ink run a bit until I got the effect I wanted.
Finally I used the Distress Ink pad on the edges to get a dirty and old look.
Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you’ve been inspired!
xoxo
