Dont cry – Nicole Doiron

Hello! June is finally here… it’s a special month for me as it’s my birthday month. Yes! Turning another year older!

For the occasion and for my first Dusty Attic DT reveal this month, I thought I would create a layout just for me and about me.
I thought this title was perfect to express the sentiment I wanted to convey
my page. It’s easy to get discouraged when you age, but really, we should be happy
to have been able to see another year pass by, to have made it this far.

I covered my title and the leafy flourishes cut out from the Layered Garland set
with 2 shades of green embossing powders and a little copper metallic marker.

I had been waiting on a special occasion to use these papers from Prima.
They are from the gorgeous Rossibelle collection and come with copper accents
on them which I love, thus why I treated most of my chippies with metallic hues.

I decided to use a few Industrial Globes which I covered in copper and gold.
I then dabbed them lightly with white paint to then add black distress stain.
You also see below the very pretty Fancy Flourish #2, also in copper.

Dusty Attic’s Wordplay and Word Strips sets are definitely a must-have!
They are perfect to add a certain expression or sentiment to any page.

Here is a closer look at the Name Plate from set #5 which I cut in two to slip a piece in this cluster and the other behind my picture. I added copper embossing powder on it that had a very nice metallic shimmer to it. I then distressed it with white paint and black distress stain to give it a more antique look.

This is me… over a Decorative Frame #4… soon to be 46!

Now let’s see what Dusty Attic chipboard I have used on my page…
