Days like these make me Happy – Cathy Cafun

Hi all, Cathy here sharing my 1st project for the month, using gorgeous The Dusty Attic chipboard and one of their fabulous stencil designs!!

‘Days Like These Make Me Happy’
My son Luke is in Japan at the moment and whilst checking out his instagram pics I came across this adorable photo of him at a Deer Park and loved it so much I had to scrap it straight away.
To create my background, I misted with Luminarte Olive Vine, then randomly stamped over with Ranger black archival ink.  I then masked over the top with the Distress Grid stencil and some Prima crackle medium in copper.  Once dry I flicked over the top with Luminarte Golden Nugget and Lindy’s Cattail Copper Brown mists.
To compliment my photo, I went for the quick and easy option to alter my chippies by using various shades of green and brown Brilliance and Versa Magic inks.

**NOTE** Remember when inking any chippies with words or a design etched in, lightly pat over with the ink to build up the colour, otherwise the ink seeps in and you loose the design.
