What a wonderful warm colour palette of this months mood board. I decided to use the outdoor aspect to create my layout featuring a holiday picture taken in the Village of Shere.
The background was created using the DA burlap stencil, rust paste and a range of magicals to add colour. I have used a mixture of LSG sea grass, aloha avocado and others to add contrast. While drying, have cut the fence paing chipboard and coated with rust past and once dry, add colour depth painting the edge and ridges with Lindy Stamp Gang (LSG) Van Dyke Sepia. tprepare your chip boards. Texture on the foliage is created by a range of texture pastes and coloured with LSG sprays.
BIrd cage and shutters are coloured with a mixture of DA paints (Gingernut and Storm Cloud). Tip: once dry, rub on Finnabair wax to add depth. I painted LSG Magical shaker California Poppy Gold on the edges to highlight against the other embellishments. The trellis is painted with a silver/iron coloured LSG spray and edged with Black Forest LSG Magical Shaker to add depth.
Build your layout and add foam tape or old spare DA chippie leftovers to add height where needed. I have added the flower and leaves cut outs from 49 and Market to the page. Tip: look for spots in your layout where there are gaps and aim to fill so that the layout flows outwards. Add you words with some foam tape so that they sit in line with the height of the layout. Tip: as I use up DA chipboard, I keep the outer card bits and cut up into smaller pieces to use on layouts instead of foam tape.
I have finished of by adding dark brown prills and rust mica powder to the lower part of the layout coming from under the chipboard and leaves. It adds a shadowy effect and depth.
I hope you any joy my layout and would love to hear your thoughts in the comments bar on my blog http://rosaliescreativecafe.blogspot.com
