Always in my Heart – Patricia Basson

Hello Blog Friends

Today I am sharing my DT page for Dusty Attic displaying this beautiful photo of my eldest daughter on her Matric Farewell many years ago. I used several sheets of Penelope Dee Papers from the Rosalee collection.

To keep to the rich blue colours of the Phoenix on her dress, I embossed the raw chipboard frames with Lindy’s Stampgang Embossing Powder, Cosmic Pink Blue…It is one of the very effective EP that changes colours according to the background. Because I left the chipboard raw, I got this amazing Bluish two-toned effect. I added a few glass beads because Chantelle was in fact looking at Bubbles that we blew over her.

To match the Dress’es feathers, I used Dusty Attic’s Mini Feathers. They got a light coating of white Gesso. I then brushed them with Antique Brilliance Wax, Fire Ruby and Opal Maxic Wax, Turquoise Satin. Also a light dry brush and splatters with Sparks Acrylic Paints, Magical Pond and Mermaid Sparkle.

On the background paper I did a little stencilling with Distress Ink using the Dusty Attic Bedazzled Stencil. I also added Texture Paste through the Confetti #2 stencil. I added Cosmic Pink Blue Embossing powder to it and Heat set it…this time I got the Pinker colour tone from the Embossing Powders. Also splattered some of the Sparks Paints.
