Mood Board Inspiration

You colour my world – Rikki G

Good morning how are you? Once in a while you get a brain wave and take your clues from what is trending in fashion…. especially with colour trends. I am drawn to the earth tones at the moment, probably because we are building and then designing the rooms with new furniture and bedding etc, so they are the tones I am looking to do for our darling daughter.

So when it came to choosing papers it was in the back of my mind I think…. I have to say I am happy that they where as its a colour palette I never would naturally go to, and lets face it the 49& Market papers with the NEW Dusty Attic Chipboard tend to go hand in hand, don’t you think?

So to kick off I have a series of photos and rather than do a few layouts or a couple of doubles I go to my go to flip out booklet style scrapbooking.. hidden layers under a feature top.
And what’s better than that? Especially if your filling up scrapbook albums quicker than you can buy them.

Rather than crop down my photos I like to use the negative space to add my chipboard on you can use titles or how about a little rainbow or gnome!!!

So to add a little interest in on your layout why not grab a boarder punch and add details to the top and bottom of your pages.

Dont forget to grab your washi tape, and fussy cut out some leaves, yes you can fussy cut washi and it works out really well, because you get a transparent look with it on your page.

To create this look I used a little bit of left over macramé cord, from when I do my hanging plant holders just a few little knots and then you just comb out the cord and you have made a feature out of the rainbow.

Add a little sprinkling of 49 & Market flowers throughout your chipboard layers.

So if your feeling inspired why dont you enter into this months mood board, till next time have a creative day.
