Hi and Hello dear Blog friends…
My post for this months Dusty Attic DT project is quite a hefty one!!!
Seeing as the Altered Paintbrushes are doing the rounds again, I wanted to be a little different, I chose to take a small plastic Paint pan and Roller set and alter them on a Canvas…Such a fun and rewarding project!
There are some of the newest Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces on here, with Yummylisious Paints and Rust Pastes from Finnabair. I know there are a lot of photos, but I just could not decide which to keep and which to discard! So please sit back and feast your eyes on all the goodness on this canvas….
My first step was to frame the canvas with pieces of the Dusty Attic Notepad Edge frame. I also used the Gradient Stencil and Texture paste to add dimension to the background. A first layer of Gesso was added, after drying I randomly added white Crackle Paste from Finnabair.
After placing all the other Chipboard pieces and embellishments, I covered it all with another layer of white Gesso. I then sprayed it all generously with Steel Shimmer Mist from Lindy’s Stampgang.
Next I went in with several colours of Alcohol Inks, spraying and directing it with sprays of water…I will mention all the colours used at the end of the post for you….
Next came the different colours of Rust Pastes on the frame…I then coloured all the Dusty Chipboards with several Finnabair Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints, going over and over until I was happy with the end result. Once again the Rust Pastes were used. And the final touch was a little rub on of Waxes.
Here then are the close ups showing all the textures and colours…Hope you enjoy!

The aim of art
is to represent
not the outward appearance of things,
